Horsham, PA, April 10, 2007 - Two
Technologies, Inc.® the leading
manufacturer of customizable, rugged
hand held computer & terminal
products, announced today that it
has successfully piloted the
adoption of the JETT•eye in a
variety of new markets. Demand for
the rugged hand held computer, with
its integrated 5.17 megapixel color
camera, barcode imager and wireless
connectivity, has been very strong
in industries where having “proof”
translates into increased revenue
and cost savings.
After introducing the JETT•eye in
2006, the company quickly attracted
many enthusiastic VARs and systems
integrators who saw a pressing need
for new ways to collect proof in the
field. The JETT•eye quickly proved
that the applications it can address
are limited only by the imagination.
“We introduced the JETT•eye in an
effort to develop a truly
groundbreaking, hand held computer.
The response has been exhilarating.
With feedback and suggestions from
our GEM Partner community, we made
some important enhancements to the
JETT•eye, and we’re now ready for
explosive growth across a variety of
industries.” Eric Eckstein,
President and COO, Two Technologies
Solution providers to the Trucking
and Transportation industry were
among the first to recognize the
need for simultaneously taking
crystal clear color pictures and
imaging barcodes. Capturing an image
of a Bill of Lading (BOL) and its
barcode in-cab and transmitting that
information back to the home office
in real-time can enhance billing
cycles and increase cash flow.
Having the ability to document Over,
Short and Damage (OS&D) freight can
significantly cut costs associated
with frivolous claims.
A variety of innovative automotive
applications have also been
identified. For example, service
departments in car dealerships have
long struggled with discrepancies
concerning damage claims. This holds
true for rental car companies as
well. With the JETT•eye’s imaging
capabilities, damages can be
documented, heading off
disagreements and saving valuable
customer relationships.
In facilities and asset manaGEMent,
the JETT•eye can provide manaGEMent
with better visibility into the
condition of assets in the field,
enabling more effective planning and
control. Photo records can document
the condition of managed assets
throughout their lifecycle, from
adoption to retirement. These images
can be tied to service and
maintenance records and assist in
analyzing failures.
VARs and systems integrators serving
law enforcement and government
agencies have begun to deploy the
JETT•eye for Parking Enforcement and
Forensic Investigations.
Particularly suited for the kinds of
changing and rugged environments
inherent to Forensic Investigations,
the JETT•eye can be deployed to
capture critical images and log
precise measurement data. For
Parking Enforcement, the key benefit
is minimizing frivolous and costly
appeals.
“Arming your mobile workers with the
JETT•eye gives your manaGEMent team
the visibility it needs to make
informed decisions and lead from a
distance. Having proof can
streamline billing cycles, cut costs
associated with damages, and
increase customer satisfaction. When
you need proof, a picture is worth a
thousand keystrokes.” Eric
Eckstein, President and COO, Two
Technologies
